Nothing is more entertaining than the fuzzy mascot friends at sports games. Now imagie five of them at the same time, that is what this game was suposed to be. The rain was really trying to stop Gaurdians fans from watching this game, but you know Cleveland, we will always hold out for our sports.
Anyway, Today was no different than any other game we cover, other than the weather, and the fact there was a group of 9+ mascots roaming around causing trouble. So, in fact, it was very different. To start things off, we had a decent sized cast of characters, some old, some new.
A quick breakdown:

Now, the other stand out event. Early in the game, there were a few spotty showers, one of which was decent enough to send people up to the concourse, but still not hard or long enough to stop the game. After (I believe) the fifth inning, there was another shower, which just got progressively harder, causing the tarp to be pulled and the game to be paused, effectively somewhat ruining the event (again, biased opinion).
The delay happened in multiple parts, taking the tarp off, fixing the field, putting the tarp back on, starting to take the tarp back off, putting the tarp back on, having the managers and umps check the warning track, then taking the tarp off, and announcing a 4:50 pm restart time.

The Guardians did end up winning 5-0 over the Arizona Diamondbacks, BUT, the rain showers prevented any further fuzzy entertainment after that fifth inning, which really put a damper on the seventh inning stretch activities. Nonetheless! We shall continue on to our next event, which you could come meet us at by using the link down below!
