On April 3rd, 2026, Terry and our crew headed Down to Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio for some Triple-A baseball action between the Columbus Clippers (Cleveland Guardians) & Indianapolis Indians (Pittsburgh Pirates). This trip also marks stop #1 on our quest to see all the Guardians affiliates in less than a Month!
In what was a very wild game, the Clippers were dominant off the rip, but a wild seventh inning rally let Indianapolis off with a win, the Final score being 11-10 in the Indians favor.
Luckily, as you know, we’re rarely at these stadiums for the game itself – we got to explore Huntington Park a little more than ever before, sitting behind home plate for the first time, which also happened to be in the club section (which was weird, there’s just the grouping of regular seats behind home plate they have you show a ticket and enter a club area for).
We also dabbled in their vast hat selection (Pictured above with Terry), and stare at Giant pictures of “things” and people on their new 17×31 outfield video board just outside the team shop!
I do have to admit, Despite the hat, I put in an in-seat order (which is another perk of the club section) for a Bratwurst instead today. on the Ballpark dog list, the Clippers Bratwurst came in at a solid 8/10 – wasn’t too rough or overcooked on the edges, but definitely needed a real brat bun.
Aside from that, I was finally able to meet the Legendary “Krash” the parrot, as you know, I’m also very cynical about mascot design etc., but this one hit it out of the Park!
