Boomin’ Birthday Bash – Columbus Blue Jackets vs Utah Mammoth

What a better way to Celebrate the Birthday of our own Donny P. Then with the First game Featuring the newly dubbed Utah “Mammoth” in Columbus.

The Mammoth came out with the first goal, and after a little back and fourth, ended up leading by a score of 4-2 in the third – not that that phased the blue jackets in the slightest, netting two goals, including one in the last five minutes of the game, to tie it up 4-4 and send it into overtime.

In the End, the Mammoth ended up taking the overtime final by a score of 5-4, and in the words of the Birthday boy, “Can’t win em all, but it would’ve been nice to win this one”. The night was well worth it, though, getting to see THREE Gordie Howe Hat Tricks (Goal, Assist, and Fight) in one game.
