Rock on the Wire: Ghost’s “Skeletour” – Night 5 (Nashville, TN)

Tonight, I stepped out of my comfort zone in a major way, in the name of fan engagement, as well as covering every aspect of the experience of the show, as I promised I’d always try to do.

You see, I’m very used to and comfortable (as much as one can be) in prosthetics and character makeup, having almost 12 years now as a professional haunter/haunt designer….but I never thought to wear such a thing at a concert…or really, anywhere in public where I wasn’t part of the act.

Well, a big, large part, even, of the Ghost concert experience, is the fan engagement in the form of formal ritual attire – a nuance of any other event one may dress up or cosplay for, with fans making their own characters that fit in to the lore of the act (with at least one man dressed as Jesus Christ per city).

With the help of our main gal Meepy, and a local makeup artist, I sat down to devise the perfect ritual look for myself on this hot ass southern night.

Today’s Behind the Scenes Topic:

Proper Ritual Attire

After getting prepared (i.e. a Dr.pepper), I learned the ways of only the most ultimate fans….kinda…my eyes were closed and most of it was a pre-made prosthetic typa thing, with meticulously sculpted strokes of black to fit your face type….but point being, in my efforts to cover every essential aspect of a Ghost Concert, we have now joined the elite fans, having pictures of myself sporting the Papa Emeritus IV look, suited well for one of my Haunts.

Sadly, I did not end up keeping it on for the actual show though, I was planning on being able to see during their set.

With that being said, I think that’s enough excitement for two nights, even! also, to the woman who threw her bra on the stage, I’m being told it’s at guest services if you’d like to pick it up on your way out.
