- KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York: Fun Fact! because of it’s proximity to the Great White North, The Sabres play the Canadian National Anthem, as well as the United States, before very home game! (or at least the ones I’ve been to, which did not include any Canadian teams) – AND, the spelling of “Sabres” has been contributed to Canadian roots, and chosen as the given spelling, again, because of the cities proximity to the country.
Anyway, this is a noticeably older barn, but still an amazing venue that received a solid 7.5-8 out of 10 on the Rock City Multimedia Scale. We visited during their Thanksgiving Eve game, which had an absolutely amazing giveaway – they gave 10,000 Sabres Zamboni Gravy Boats away at the gates!

I must commend the whole city of buffalo on its sportsmanship, as well as it’s fanhood – I’ve often heard stories from relatives about seasons when the city of Cleveland did not have the Browns Football team, and the city of buffalo welcomed them in to be “Bills mafia” since their city now lacked the sport, rather than shunning them away because of where they’re from like a lot of fans do, and I can say I experienced a similar feat during my trip to the city, with multiple people asking about the Cleveland Monsters merchandise, and wondering if I was a Sabres fan through and through since we didn’t have a team….until I turned around my backwards Minnesota Wild hat (the Sabres are Second or third on the list, behind Minnesota & Columbus, though – and if it wasn’t against the Wild I would’ve wore my Gold & Blue….or Black & Red depending on how I felt).

The Buffalo Sabres have also helped to set the record this season for Rock City seeing the home to lose consecutive games in a row – Buffalo was the 4th NHL home team in a row to lose during our visit this year (along with Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia), leaving RCM 0-4 with homes teams on the season. This one’s ok though, because my Favorite of all the NHL teams is the Minnesota Wild
Tonight’s Scorecard:
| Goals | 1 | 2 | 3 | Final |
| Sabres | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Wild | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 |
