- PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: For the second stop on our 24′-25′ Hockey road trip, we made our way to PPG Paints Arena, Home of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Another arena we went to before the YouTube channel and allat (so, we had to go again to do a video/article), but, a little spicier this time – I chose this date in particular in order to the the Dallas Stars for the first time, and boy, am I glad I did.
The Stars shot out of the gate scoring a goal within the first few minutes of action….then proceeded to score FIVE more in that same frame. that count of six goals in a period also helped the Stars Mason Marchment tie a franchise record for points in a period (1-3-4), becoming just the second player in club history to post four points in the first period, a long with Barry Gibbs (1-3-4) on December 21st, 1974. As for the Penguins, this was the most goals they’ve ever let up in the opening period of a home game. the previous high was five goals, which has occurred five times in their history.
The Penguins did end up netting one though, Giving us two more teams to cross off in our “seeing every team score at least once” video series we’re putting together (Thankfully).
Tonight’s Scorecard:
| Goals | 1 | 2 | 3 | Final |
| Penguins | 0 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
| Stars | 6* | 0 | 1 | 7 |
(” * ” Indicates a record)
